Cemetery Gates

I found this cauldron set up at a Menards the first year I realized they had excellent Halloween stuff. I've been back every year because their staff really sets up some cool props...This cost about seventy bucks (good thing my birthday is in early October!) because the mister was thirty and the LED twenty. It's been a staple prop for us and looks really realistic...I'll try to get better photos/videos soon.

Just a photo of the cauldron hanging from the homemade tripod.

Here you can see how we did the tripod. We kept it very simple. Just screwed three furring strips together after cutting off the edges of two to allow for some side to side movement. You can see the hook where we attach the cauldron and the green LED (not pictured) I'm sure there are better ways of doing this, but this was quick and works fine. The only problem is it doesn't collapse completely. Just flat.

Here's the cheesy ten dollar flaming cauldron I bought at Menards. I've seen these modified by the addition of more silk flames and it looked neat. Find out how here. This one has worked quite well over the years.

I'm in the process of looking for my Mister and LED. (still unpacking from the move). As soon as I find them, I'll post the rest of the parts.
